THE POSITION AND ROLE OF PANCASILA IN THE INDONESIAN CONSTITUTIONAL SYSTEM AND ITS CHALLENGES IN THE ERA OF GLOBALIZATION

Abstract

Pancasila is the foundation of the state and the ideology of the Indonesian nation, which holds a very important position in the state system. The values ​​contained in Pancasila are the main foundation in the implementation of national and state life, both in political, legal, social, and cultural aspects. This journal was created with the intention and purpose of analyzing the position and role of Pancasila in the Indonesian state system and the various challenges faced in the era of globalization. The method used in writing this journal is a literature study by reviewing various sources such as books, scientific journals, laws and regulations, and relevant scientific journals. The results of the study indicate that Pancasila is the main foundation as a source of all sources of state law and serves as a guideline in the formation of national policies. In addition, Pancasila also has a role as a unifier of the nation amidst the diversity of the Indonesian nation. However, the development of globalization brings various challenges that must be faced, such as the entry of foreign cultures, the decline in the sense of nationalism of every Indonesian society, the spread of radical ideologies, and the influence of information technology that can influence the understanding of each young generation of the values ​​of Pancasila.
