Author Guidelines

GENERAL GUIDELINES

  1. Articles submitted for publication in JAMS must be written in English.
  2. The manuscript is original and previously unpublished paper, result of field research, case studies.
  3. The manuscript should be submitted in Microsoft Word.
  4. The manuscript should be written either in Indonesian or English, formatted into A4 24 (21 x 29,7 cm) width height, 3 cm for all margins, font size 12 of Times New Roman, single-spaced, and 3000-7000 words in length.

  WRITING FORMAT

  1. First part: title, full name, email, affiliation, abstract, and keywords.
  2. Main part: introduction, methods, findings, and discussion.
  3. Last part: conclusions (concluding remarks), acknowledgement (if any) and references.

  TITLE AND AUTHOR(S)’ IDENTITY

  1. The title is capitalized, bolded in 14 sizes of Times New Roman, single-spaced
  2. The author(s)’ name is written under the title without any title, may not be abbreviated, begun with a capital letter. The writing order started from the first author followed by the second, third, and so on.
  3. Email addresses of all authors are written under the author(s)’ name and affiliation(s) in 12 sizes of Times New Roman.

Abstract
The abstract includes a description of the objectives, methods, and results of the study. The abstract is written briefly, rationally and written in one paragraph (maximum 250 words) that summarizes important research variables, objectives and methods.  

Keywords: 35 Keywords
Keywords represent basic ideas or substance of the article which allow readers to find it easily. These can be drawn from the research variables, the characteristics of the subjects, and the referenced theories (a minimum of three words or combinations of words, arranged in alphabetical order and separated using semicolons)  

INTRODUCTION
Contains the background, rationale and urgency of the research. Each paragraph flows with ideas that are connected between paragraphs. References need to be included in this section, in relation to the justification of the urgency of the research, the emergence of research problems, alternative solutions, and the chosen solution.  

LITERATURE REVIEW
This section contains literature that is referred to and connected to the research and hypothesis development. This section contains theories and literature that are referred to and connected to the writing. It is highly recommended that the literature referred to be published no more than 10 years previously in the following order: reputable international journals, accredited national journals, national journals, international symposiums, national symposiums, textbooks, and daily reputations

METHOD
This section should provide detailed information about the methods used in the whole of research process (identification of the research variables, subjects, instruments, and analysis techniques). The sufficient information is needed so that the information can be useful for further researchers. Quoting definitions directly from the books should be avoided in this section.  

RESULTS AND DISCUSSION
This section contains the characteristics of the subject/object/sample/research respondent data, data analysis results, testing instruments and hypotheses (if any), answers to research questions, findings, and interpretation of findings. This section can be graphed if possible for each research variable. Furthermore, the descriptive statistical values ​​are presented with their interpretation. The final section shows the results of the hypothesis research and its full discussion.

CONCLUSION
Presenting research conclusions, implications, limitations, and suggestions for future research. The implications are practical suggestions from the research results. Research limitations include all aspects that can be considered by researchers to improve future research. While research suggestions are suggested for further research based on limitations that cannot be done by researchers in their research.  

REFERENCES
The bibliography contains a list of references referred to in the manuscript. The bibliography used as a reference for the last 10 (ten) years, except for main reference books and primary references, is recommended to be at least 70% from International Journals, 20% from National Journals and 10% from books. References are written using the American Psychological Association 7th edition (APA) bibliography writing method, with Times New Roman 12pt font, single spacing. To make citation easier, it is recommended to use a reference manager such as Endnote, Zotero, and/or Mendeley..

Guideline for Online Submission

All manuscripts should be submitted online at: Make Submission 

The author should fulfill the form as detailed as possible where the star-marked form must be entered. After all form textbox was filled, the Author clicked on the “Register” button to proceed with the registration. Therefore, the Author is brought to an online author submission interface where Author should click New Submission.” In the Start, a New Submission section, click on ’Click Here’: to go to step one of the five-step submission process.” The following are five steps in the online submission process:

  1. Step 1 - Starting the Submission: Select the appropriate section of the journal. Thus, the author must check-mark on the submission checklists. An author should type or copy-paste Covering Letter into Letter to Editor.
  2. Step 2 – Uploading the Submission: To upload a manuscript to this journal, click Browse on the Upload submission file item and choose the manuscript document file (.doc/.docx) to be submitted, then click the "Upload" button until the file has been uploaded. Do not upload a cover letter and other supplementary files here.
  3. Step 3 – Entering Submission’s Metadata: Detailed authors' metadata should be entered, including the marked corresponding author. After that, the manuscript title and abstract must be uploaded by copying the text and paste in the textbox, including keywords.
  4. Step 4 – Confirming the Submission: The author should final check the uploaded manuscript documents in this step. To submit the manuscript to Journal of Advanced Multidisciplinary Studies (JAMS), click the Finish Submission button after the documents are true. The corresponding author or the principal contact will receive an acknowledgment by email and be able to view the submission’s progress through the editorial process by logging in to the journal web address site. 

After this submission, the Authors who submit the manuscript will get a confirmation email about the submission. Therefore, Authors can track their submission status at any time by logging in to the online submission interface. The submission tracking includes the status of the manuscript review and editorial process
