Publication Ethics

Al-Muntadā - Journal of Humaniora and Sciences  is a peer-reviewed journal managed and published by PT RADJA POS MEDIA LAW AND JUSTICE. This statement outlines the ethical behavior expected from all parties involved in the publication process of this journal, including the author(s), editor-in-chief, editorial board members, peer reviewers, and the publisher. Authors are required to obtain ethical clearance from a relevant ethics committee for their research involving human participants.

Ethical Guidelines for Journal Publication

The publication of an article in a peer-reviewed journal is a vital building block in the development of a coherent and respected body of knowledge. It is a direct reflection of the quality of the authors’ work and the institutions that support them. Peer-reviewed articles support and embody the scientific method. Therefore, it is essential to establish ethical standards for all parties involved in the publication process: the authors, editors, peer reviewers, the publisher, and society at large.

PT RADJA POS MEDIA LAW AND JUSTICE, as the publisher of Al-Muntadā - Journal of Humaniora and Sciences, takes full responsibility for ensuring the integrity of the publishing process and is committed to adhering to the highest standards of publication ethics.


Publication Decisions

All publishing decisions, including online publication, are made by the Chief Editor in consultation with the editorial team and based on recommendations from peer reviewers. The editorial workflow includes manuscript submission, editorial screening, peer review, layout editing, plagiarism and copyright checks  all under the supervision of the Chief Editor and delegated editors. Final publication decisions are based on academic merit and relevance to the journal’s scope.


Confidentiality

All manuscripts submitted to Al-Muntadā - Journal of Humaniora and Sciences  are treated as confidential documents. Editors and reviewers must not disclose any information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, editorial team, or publisher — unless appropriately authorized.


Disclosure and Conflict of Interest

Unpublished materials disclosed in a submitted manuscript must not be used by editorial board members or reviewers in their own research without the express written consent of the author(s).


Responsibilities of the Editor

  • Editors are responsible for determining which articles are appropriate for publication based on editorial board deliberation.

  • Editors are guided by the journal’s editorial policies and legal requirements, including those concerning defamation, copyright infringement, and plagiarism.

  • Editors treat all submissions fairly and without discrimination based on race, gender, religion, ethnicity, nationality, or political beliefs.

  • Editors and the editorial team shall not disclose any information about a manuscript to anyone other than those involved in the publication process.

  • Manuscripts that are rejected will not be used for the editor’s own research and will be returned to the authors.


Responsibilities of the Reviewer

  • Reviewers assist editors in making editorial decisions and may also help authors improve their manuscripts.

  • Reviewers are responsible for giving clear, objective, and constructive feedback.

  • Reviewers must maintain the confidentiality of manuscripts and must not use any information obtained through peer review for personal gain.

  • Reviewers are responsible for identifying relevant published work that has not been cited and for addressing issues of plagiarism and citation accuracy.


Responsibilities of the Author

  • Authors must present their research accurately, honestly, and without data manipulation or plagiarism.

  • Authors are responsible for the content and confirmation of the article they submit.

  • Submitted manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere.

  • Authors must properly cite all sources and references used in their work.

  • Authors must write ethically, honestly, and in accordance with scholarly standards.

  • Authors must not submit the same manuscript to more than one journal simultaneously.

  • Authors accept that submitted manuscripts may be edited for clarity and consistency without altering the core substance or ideas.


Responsibilities of the Publisher

  • PT RADJA POS MEDIA LAW AND JUSTICE, as the official publisher of Al-Muntadā - Journal of Humaniora and Sciences, is responsible for overseeing the publication process including editing, peer review, and layout, following scientific publication standards.

  • The publisher upholds editorial freedom and academic independence for editors and reviewers in carrying out their duties.

  • The publisher is responsible for protecting the privacy, intellectual property rights, and copyright of authors, as well as safeguarding editorial autonomy.
