Author Guidelines

GENERAL GUIDELINES

  1. Articles submitted for publication in Al-Muntadā - Journal of Humanities and Sciences must be written in Indonesian/English.
  2. The manuscript must be an original work and has not been previously published. It should be based on field research or case studies.
  3. Manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word format.
  4. The manuscript should be typed in Indonesian, using A4 paper size (21 x 29.7 cm), 3 cm margins, Times New Roman font size 12, single spacing, and range between 3,000–7,000 words.

WRITING FORMAT

  1. First part: title, full name(s), email, affiliation, abstract, and keywords.
  2. Main section: introduction, methods, findings, and discussion.
  3. Final part: conclusion (closing words), acknowledgments (if any), and references.

TITLE AND AUTHOR IDENTIFICATION

  1. The title must be written in capital letters, bold, Times New Roman size 14, single spacing.
  2. Author names should be listed under the title without academic titles, not abbreviated, and begin with a capital letter. The order should start with the first author, followed by the second, third, and so on.
  3. All authors' email addresses should be listed under the names and affiliations using Times New Roman size 12.

ABSTRACT

The abstract must contain a description of the purpose, methods, and results of the research. It should be written concisely and rationally in a single paragraph (maximum 250 words) summarizing the research variables, objectives, and key methods.

Keywords: 3–5 keywords.

Keywords represent the basic ideas or essence of the article that help readers find it easily. Keywords can be research variables, subject characteristics, and referenced theories (at least three words or word combinations, listed alphabetically and separated by commas).

INTRODUCTION

This section includes the background, rationale, and urgency of the study. Each paragraph should contain interrelated ideas. References must be included to justify the urgency, the emergence of the research problem, alternative solutions, and the selected solution.

LITERATURE REVIEW

This section includes literature relevant to the study and development of hypotheses. The section presents theories and literature referenced for the research. It is highly recommended that references cited be published within the last 10 years, in the following order: reputable international journals, accredited national journals, national journals, international symposia, national symposia, textbooks, and reputable newspapers.

METHODS

This section must provide detailed information about the research methodology (identification of research variables, subjects, instruments, and analytical techniques). Sufficient information is necessary so future researchers can benefit. Direct quotations from books should be avoided in this section.

RESULTS AND DISCUSSION

This section includes data characteristics of subjects/objects/samples/respondents, data analysis results, instrument testing and hypotheses (if any), answers to research questions, findings, and interpretations. Graphs may be included for each research variable. Descriptive statistical values should be presented along with their interpretations. The final part presents research hypothesis results and a comprehensive discussion.

CONCLUSION

Presents the research conclusion, implications, limitations, and suggestions for future research. Implications are practical suggestions from the study. Research limitations include aspects that should be considered for future improvements. Suggestions for future studies are based on the limitations the author was unable to address.

BIBLIOGRAPHY

The reference list should contain only works cited in the manuscript. References should preferably be published within the last 10 years, with a minimum of 70% from international journals, 20% from national journals, and 10% from books. Use APA Style 7th edition for referencing, Times New Roman 12 pt, single spacing. Use of reference managers like Mendeley is highly recommended.

Online Submission Guidelines

All manuscripts must be submitted online via: 

Authors must fill in the form in as much detail as possible, especially mandatory fields marked with an asterisk. After completing the form, click "Register" to continue. Authors will be directed to the online submission interface, where they must click "New Submission" Under "Start a New Submission," click "Click Here" to proceed to the first of five steps.

The five online submission steps are:

  1. Step 1 – Starting the Submission: Select the appropriate journal section. Authors must check the submission checklist and provide a cover letter in the "Comments to the Editor" field.
  2. Step 2 – Uploading the Manuscript: Click "Browse" to upload the manuscript file (.doc/.docx), then click "Upload" until complete. Do not upload cover letters or supplementary files here.
  3. Step 3 – Entering Manuscript Metadata: Complete detailed author metadata, including the corresponding author. Then copy and paste the title and abstract into the respective text boxes, including keywords.
  4. Step 4 – Confirming the Submission: Review the uploaded manuscript document. Click "Finish Submission" to submit it to Al-Muntadā - Journal of Humanities and Sciences. The corresponding author will receive an email confirmation and can track progress through the editorial process by logging into the journal site.

After submission, the author will receive a confirmation email and can track the status of their manuscript anytime through the online submission interface, including the review and editing process.
